I’m so proud!
TripAdvisor’s Choice 2011: The Top 25 Beaches in the World
My state of Quintana Roo is representing! We have FOUR of the top 25 best beaches in the world (and that’s considering that they forgot Puerto Morelos!) Guess who made TripAdvisor’s list:
#5: Tulum I know I have a picture of Tulum’s beach around here somewhere… might have to look around on the iPod later tonight.
#15: Isla Mujeres Yes, yes, a thousand times yes! I’m just surprised it’s not higher up!
#17: Playa del Carmen The views, the ambiance and the sand are incredible.
#20: Cancun Hurray!!!I live 20 minutes away from the 20th best beach in the world! Not too shabby, eh? I’m still going to have to disagree with this choice because Cancun has too many waves for my taste… but maybe I’m just being picky.
Guess who’s going to be at the beach this weekend? 😉
That’s pretty cool!
As much as I complain about Reynos-hell and other parts of Mexico, I must say your area of Mexico is beautiful and safe enough for foreigners to vacation.
You are one lucky girl!!! There’s a really nice lake about 45 mins from my house…. Yeah. I’m sad.
I’m not jealous or anything….not even a little bit….okay maybe a little….okay maybe a lot….
sweet!
I’ve been to 6 of those beaches! There are a few on that list that I’ve been drooling over for… years! Maldives at the top of that list!
I know! I had to do a school project on the Maldives a few years ago. I’m in love!
Hmmm let me guess…you?
Well I’ve only been to Cancun and Playa del Carmen but they certainly do have GORGEOUS beaches!
I’ve been to several of the beaches listed .. but I think Cancun & Isla should have a much lower number! The beach and sand are the most wonderful. You are one lucky lady to live is such a beautiful place!
I agree, Cancun has some major waves. I visited Cozumel after a hurricane destroyed the beaches there, so it wasn’t very impressive at the time. Playa del Carmen has the most beautiful beaches I have seen in all my travels to Mexico!
I am adding all 25 to my wish list. 😉
I thought that the beach that Grandpa built on his property at Lake Anna was pretty cool. We had nuclear power water and everything. And don’t forget the red canoe.
The mud underfoot was pretty icky, but that nuclear power water was nice and warm 🙂
That pic of Cancun does have a lot of waves, not sure I’d want to swim in there! Congrats to Mexico though, the beaches do look bloody amazing so I am not surprised 🙂 x
**SOB* sob *Sob…hiccup.
I’m so jealous!
Awesome beaches!
I agree & I would to a lot to have my toes on any of those beaches right now! 🙂
I believe this. All of your pictures of the places you share are always so gorgeous.
4 out of 25? Wow, I need to get out there some time. I’m glad Hawaii made it on the list… although they might have picked Kauai instead.
